102 in the Grove is a quiet, secluded and private separate accommodation set in an olive grove on a working cropping and livestock farm. There are beautiful views, and its a great base to explore the local area.

There are two bedrooms, one room has a queen the other has two single beds. There is a fully self contained kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, cutlery, pots, pans, etc. The bathroom has a great shower, toilet, basin and washing machine. All bed linen and towels supplied. The kitchen and lounge are open plan looking out into fields. Sky TV and DVD player included. Sleeps 4 people.

The accommodation is very private, with own driveway and free parking. The hosts are a short walk away through the olive grove but are out of sight. You are welcome to join them for a coffee or tea, ask questions about the area or keep to yourself.

The property is a working farm, and someone is always not far away.

102 in the grove is centrally located in the Waikato region and within a 1 hour drive of Rotorua, Hamilton, Tauranga, Mt Maunganui and just over 1 hour from Taupo. Tirau is 5 minutes away with cafes and shops to explore and Matamata is 10 minutes where you can find tours to see the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit film sets. 9 golf courses are within a 30 minute drive, and its close to the Waikato River Trails which can be cycled or walked. There are many other bush walks close by.

A car is recommended, and free parking is provided.

Your hosts have lived in the area for 35 years and know the area well.

Guests can wander around the olive grove and immediate surrounding area

Interaction with Guests

We really enjoy interacting with our guests but also totally respect their privacy. Guests are invited to wander up through the olive trees to our house for a coffee if they wish. We are usually working around the grove or farm and are more than happy to stop for a chat or show people round.

The Neighbourhood

Our neighbourhood consists of different types of farms eg dairy farms, cropping farms, deer farm, greyhound racing farm and a few lifestyle farms. Some local people work away in the local small towns which surround us.
